Mt. Powell Christian School aims to develop dedicated followers of Christ through quality education, Bible memorization, and discipleship. We strive for excellence in learning and understanding, giving glory to Jesus Christ in all things. Our foundation is God, guiding our education, home, and lives. We promote respect, diligence, contentment, and productivity within the community, setting goals that honor the Lord.

Our Journey in Establishing the Christian School

From Inception to Growth

During the tumultuous times of the pandemic, with the unwavering faith in God, the support of fellow believers in Christ, and numerous prayers, we successfully established our Christian School. The journey was not easy, but the blessings received along the way have been numerous and profound.

Tatiana Saunders and Louann Booher, integral pillars of our institution, both work tirelessly within the school. Their roles extend beyond just teaching; they are the heart and soul of our educational community, serving as teachers, counselors, cooks, and supervisors. Tatiana nurtures and educates our preschool to 5th-grade students, while Louann imparts wisdom and knowledge to our 6th to 12th graders.

A milestone was achieved in May of 2022 when our first senior graduated. This significant event marked the beginning of a legacy. To date, we proudly celebrate five graduates from our school. We are eagerly anticipating the graduation of four more students this coming May (2025).

Our current enrollment stands strong with 17 students, each bringing unique talents and potential to our institution. In addition to academic achievements, we have also established both girls' and boys' basketball teams, fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among our students.

Praise the Lord! Witnessing our school's growth and the formation of our basketball teams is truly a testament to God's grace and the collective efforts of our dedicated community. We look forward to even greater accomplishments and blessings in the years to come.
